Delete your account

You can delete your Simply Gift account and personal data at any time. This page covers the app and website (app.simplygift.co.uk), the Android app and the iOS app.

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Sign in to Simply Gift.
2. Tap your name (top right) to open My Account.
3. Choose Delete my account & data.
4. Enter your password to confirm.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Can't sign in? Ask us to delete it

Email hello@simplygift.co.uk from the email address you registered with, with the subject "Delete my Simply Gift account". We may ask you to confirm it's you. We will act on your request without undue delay and within one month.

What gets deleted

• Your account details (name, email address, password hash)
• Gift lists you created and manage on your own, including the recipients, gifts and invites on them. A list that someone else also manages stays with them
• Your price alerts, and invites sent to your email address
• Your memberships of other people's lists, claims and contributions
• Active sessions and sign-in tokens

What we may keep

Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so deleted data can remain in them for up to 30 days before being removed. We keep only what we are legally required to keep, such as records needed for fraud prevention or legal compliance. We do not keep it for any other purpose.
